THE 3 EASTER MONKEYS - John Howard, Mark Vaile, Alexander Downer
AUSTRALIAN WARMONGER POLITICIANS OVERSEEING THE PROFITEERING
In the space of four days, Australians have witnessed the extraordinary spectacle of their Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister each submitting to rigorous, sustained and public interrogation at the Cole inquiry. This unique trifecta followed a procession of senior bureaucrats and wheeler-dealers who, mostly, have protested their innocence, lost their memories or dumped the blame somewhere else. So far (Thursday 13 April 2006), Crikey.com.au has found that there has been 1757 expressions of ignorance, denial, obfuscation, memory lapse, vagueness and incompetence by a range of people in influential leadership positions in Australian government and business.

Jonathan Holmes of ABC's 4 Corners, explains how Australia kept on trucking with Saddam - even as it prepared to make war on him.

NOOSA STYLE - UNDERWAY:
Discover Noosa, Noosa Realtor & Noosa Property Shop - A revealing and exciting consumer insight into the real estate industry, with rorted building practices & regulations in Queensland's Noosa Region, arguably Australia's premier tourist location. Featuring the Noosa Shire Council, Noosa Property Shop Pty Ltd and agent Jill Burke. FACTS via IMAGES, VIDEOS and AUDIO will show how a local council and its agent misled or deceived and thereby ripped off a young woman and how they unethically and blatantly now deny the undeniable despite being presented with evidence that cannot be denied. Despite a smorgasbord of legislation and regulations covering local government ethics and real estate industry ethics, THEIR UNETHICAL DEFENCE OF DENIAL is to force the young woman into expensive litigation so that she has to risk everything, including the house at Cooroy she got tricked into buying from the Noosa Council (a statutory authority while engaged in trade & commerce), in order to receive what was represented to her by this delinquent local government vendor and its agent. We will see (as the evidence for an unwanted Trade Practices Federal Court action is assembled), how this bunch have turned into unconscionable deviants by refusing to address or properly address the facts put before them and now choose to sue the publisher of this website for defamation instead. Stupid, stupid, stupid, but 2007 will bring a lot of fun and action.

It's a sad reflection of where Aus is, probably 80% of the population hasn't even heard of the AWB and even if they have they couldn't give a shit.

Even if the 3 monkeys somehow were telling the truth, why can't they just act decently, accept the responsibility of the job and say the buck stops here.

Politicians are expected to tell lies nowadays. However this is beyond telling lies, lying under oath is perjury. We have stepped in a whole new ball game here. To what level of debauchery will a politician sink?

So how do you get the attention of the honourable main monkey or any of his honourable monkey pride to take notice of something (or anything) of major importance to national security such as, assiting the enemy at the same time the honourables are plotting to invade the country of that supposed enemy? Well it is proven that sending the honourables in excess of 20 faxes / diplomatic cables doesn't work. I reckon the answer may be to head the correspondence with a threat that would contravene the new monkey anti-terror laws. No, I am not advocating, inciting or urging such conduct (DO NOT DO IT), no need to send the swat teams down my chimney, I am just stating what appears to be a fact.

Crikey.com.au hunted through the Cole Inquiry transcripts seeking to determine “… how many times the memories of our government ministers, officials and AWB executives have lapsed … with phrases like: ‘I can’t recall’, ‘not to my knowledge’, ‘I don’t know’, ‘I’m not sure’, ‘I’m not certain’, and ‘not that I’m aware of.’” At the ministerial level Foreign Minister Downer topped the class with 62 times, Mark Vaile was second with 44 times and Prime Minister John Howard had a preliminary count of two times, subject to a more comprehensive examination of the transcript. However, these numbers, although alarming, are modest when set against AWB Managing Director Andrew Lindberg’s tally of 733 times, other AWB executives with over 200 times and yet others with dozens to their credit — or discredit. Crikey summarises the ministerial and AWB executive saga of fancy footwork as amounting to “…1757 expressions of ignorance, denial, obfuscation, memory lapse, vagueness and incompetence we can find by a range of people in influential positions in Australian Government and business.”
Frightening isn’t it?

Today is Anzac Day an Australian national holiday, a day that marks the anniversary of the military action fought by courageous Australian and New Zealand legendary forces during World War I which remembers all those who served at Anzac Cove, World War I and in other wars, actions and campaigns around the world. Tens of thousands attend services and marches around Australia on this day every year to remember the horrors of war and conflict in a remembrance of how such things should be avoided at all cost, unless there simply is no alternative.

It is sometimes remembered that the reason for the Gallipoli campaign was that Britain, after declaring war on Turkey decided that it should seize the Turkish capital Constantinople in a naval campaign, but first it was necessary to seize the forts guarding the Dardanelles which led to the capital. Hence, the Gallipoli invasion which included the ANZAC soldiers. The Gallipoli campaign was a total failure (apart from the retreat) which cost an enormous number of lives and casualties, and today historians (like the politicians of the time), question if the whole idea of invading Turkey via this naval campaign, was a good idea in the first place.

So where are we now? Australia along with the coalition of the willing has invaded Iraq for what has been proven to be far less than a good idea and some say illegal. The sanctions that were put in place to try and avert this war were blatantly rorted by some in the invading coalition of the willing, with Australia being shown up as the worst of the delinquents. One may say that Australians are not suffering the horrors of WWI in this war and resultant mess. Well so what, plenty of others in Iraq and other places are.

The hypocrisy of Australia because of the conduct of its politicians is unforgivable, and what Australia has failed to learn, is simply astounding.

The John Howard, Mark Vaile, Alexander Downer and AWB shameful conduct, brings dishonour to Australia which reflects on all those that have served, fought and died for this country together with all of its politicians.

"A government plan to appeal a $60,000 compensation payment to a victim of the 1964 HMAS Voyager disaster has been branded "ludicrous" by the ex-serviceman's lawyer." Melbourne Age 24 March 2006.
That's a 42 years old naval incident for God's sake! Why the bloody hell would anyone voluntarily join the Australian armed forces these days? They get shot at, bombed, bullied, poisoned, forgotten, brain washed & goodness knows what else. Only to have to then undergo endless litigation and cover ups to try and get justice from the Australian government who seem to think that the compensation money belongs to bureaucrats and politicians. There are reportedly over 1,000 such legal cases currently underway. Words fail me.
